Robert Downey Jr. and Wife Susan Expecting a Baby in November
Robert Downey Jr. and his wife Susan announced new that they are expecting their second child together.
The couple have been married for nine years and share 2-year-old son Exton together, in addition to Downey's son Indio, 20, from a previous relationship. On Wednesday, Downey cryptically shared the baby news on Twitter, revealing the baby's gender.
"Yo," the 49-year-old actor wrote. "Susan. Me. Baby. Girl. November. Scorpio?"

Taking to Twitter with the announcement was a departure from the last time Downey shared his wife's pregnancy when he blurted out the news while on "The Tonight Show." The actor later joked that the outburst was due to "the hormones and the moods and stuff and the nausea."
Also, the happy Twitter announcement is a far cry from other recent news about the Downey family. Late last month, Indio Downey was arrested for cocaine possession. Releasing a statement about his son's arrest, Downey cited his own past with drug use.
"Unfortunately there's a genetic component to addiction and Indio has likely inherited it," the Oscar Award-winning actor told TMZ. "Also, there is a lot of family support and understanding, and we're all determined to rally behind him and help him become the man he's capable of being."
Downey famously struggled with drug addiction involving both cocaine and heroin that landed him in jail. Continuing his statement, the actor expressed appreciation for law enforcement and revealed hope for his son's future.
"We're grateful to the Sheriff's department for their intervention, and believe Indio can be another recovery success story instead of a cautionary tale," TMZ reported.
Meanwhile, the "Iron Man" star has previously admitted that he does not want to be a superhero to his children, discussing the challenges of parenting with Esquire magazine in 2012.
"Do I want to be a hero to my son? No," Downey said. "I would like to be a very real human being. That's hard enough … Hero to me is not applicable to the human experience."
