Robert Downey Jr Announces He's Having Baby Boy
Actor Robert Downey Jr., 46, has announced on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Monday that he and his wife are expecting a boy.
"I am not permitted to discuss it. I can't say a word... We're having a boy!" Downey said.
Downey’s wife, film producer Susan Levin, 38, is currently six months pregnant. Levin is expected to drop Downey Jr.’s junior in late February.
"I don't wanna be presumptuous," Downey said to Leno jokingly. "But I think actually the pregnancy has been tougher on me than Susan! Just the hormones on and the mood stuff and the nausea and the whole thing."
The Hollywood couple met in 2003 on the set of Gothika and married two years later.
"I gotta be careful," Downey Jr. added. "I am gonna have to see my wife some time after doing this segment with you, and I think I'm already in trouble."
The actor says he doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty as a father and joked about having no qualms with changing dirty diapers.
"That's just poop. That's no big deal," Downey said to E! News in October.
Downey, who ended his long public battle with drug addiction six years ago, is also the father of an 18-year-old son from a previous marriage to singer/actress Deborah Falconer.
