Samsung Design Fail: Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge+ Clip-On Keyboards Don't Work (VIDEO)
News has emerged the new keyboard accessory Samsung introduced for its Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus doesn't work.
A new clip-on QWERTY keyboard slider accessory Samsung introduced last week for its upcoming mobile devices, the Galaxy Note 5 and the S6 Edge Plus, have been discovered as not living up to its purpose.
Digital media website Mashable spent some hands-on time with the new phablets and their $80 keyboard accessories during Samsung's Unpacked 2015 event last week and posted negative reviews of the clip-on slider.

While the new devices were described as premium handsets with high-resolution displays and first-rate cameras packing a powerful performance, the Keyboard Cover was deemed a knock-off accessory not worth its hefty price tag.
Mashable product analyst Raymond Wong tried out the new clip-on keyboard accessory and described it as difficult to type on.
The keyboard slips on top of the device's bottom half to mimic the BlackBerry Classic keyboard experience. Unlike the BlackBerry phone's curve arc, Samsung's Keyboard Cover accessory appeared to be a flat plastic keyboard made to fit over the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.
When overlaid on the handset's bottom half, the keyboard accessory covers at least a third of the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus' 5.7-inch Quad HD screen, disrupting the attractiveness of the device beneath it and adding bulk to its lower half.
The keyboard's plastic buttons correspond to the touchscreen's buttons underneath, however pressing a single letter led to the other keys around it getting mashed, as well. Wong admitted he was unable to type "Mashable.com" at all, despite not having large thumbs.
The clip-on keyboard, which will also be available for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, was launched last week, but may not be worth the high price tag due to its apparent failure in design.
