Samsung Galaxy Nexus Release Date: Galaxy Nexus Coming to UK's O2 Network in November

Samsung recently unveiled the greatly anticipated Galaxy Nexus and; and it has now been announced that the smartphone is coming to O2 U.K. sometime in November.

On its “Coming Soon” page the Galaxy Nexus is described as the world’s first device with the latest version of Android and is “Coming Soon: November.”

“The Galaxy Nexus phone is the latest offering of the Nexus Experience and represents the boldest Nexus phone yet, both in terms of hardware/software integration and cutting edge hardware from Samsung,” O2 presents the smartphone in its website.

Despite the announcement, there is no sign-up page or pre-orders option, nor price for the ICS handset available on the website.

The release dates were not revealed by Samsung during the joint Samsung-Google media event but it was mentioned that the phone would hit international markets in November.

Other products such as the Motorola RAZR and the Samsung Galaxy S2 Note are expected to arrive on Nov. 1 in the U.K.

Samsung and Google unveiled the Galaxy Nexus smartphone running the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich about one week ago at the “Samsung Mobile Unpacked: Google Episode” media event, in Hong Kong, China.

The handsets include: LTE and HSPA + networks, dual core 1.2GHz processor, Android 4.0 ‘Ice Cream Sandwich’, Google cloud service, 4.65-inch curved HD AMOLED display screen, 21 Mbps download speeds.

The Galaxy Nexus is considered the main iPhone 4S rival, but other Android handsets such as the Motorola Droid RAZR are also expected to offer competition in the worldwide markets.
