Samsung Philippines' website announced the launch with the black and white silhouette teaser image, together with a countdown to the day of the Unpacked event. The silhouette features three sleek devices, two that are similar-sized, assumed to be the Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus, and a much larger 8-inch tablet-sized device.

The mysterious tablet, which has remained unnamed, appears to have a slight curvature on its left side, which may be its curved glass rear. Speculations are rife the tablet may be a premium version of the Samsung Tab S2, with the possibility of a curved edge display to set itself apart from its competitors in the tablet market.

The Galaxy Note 5 will include an S Pen secured on its side with a metal panel, and display a 5.7-inch QHD 1440 x 2560 screen. It will come with 4GB of RAM, and internal storage options of 32 GB, 64GB and 128GB. Powered by an Exynos 7429 2.1Ghz processor, it will include a 16MP rear camera, a 5MP front shooter, and Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box supported by a non-removable 3,000mAh battery.
