The company did, however, caution that the device is currently only scheduled for an international debut meaning customers in the United States more than likely will have to wait even longer to purchase the device.

The 16GB and 32GB versions of the phone have already propelled Samsung's sales and solidified its large market share. It was projected that Samsung sold 50 million smartphones in the second quarter of this year, according to Reuters.

JK Shin, Samsung's telecommunications chief, stated in June that he expected the Galaxy S3 to surpass 10 million in sales in the month of July, but he did not specify whether he was referring to shipments or actual retail sales.

Given that the Galaxy S3 will be available in a 64GB option, anyone with the microSD card supporting up to 64GB of memory, will have a combined 128GB of storage.

Galaxy S3 boasts a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, it runs on Exynos quad core 1.4GHz processor - in the U.S. it runs on dual core Snapdragon S4 1.5Ghz chip and utilizes Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

The Galaxy S3 is currently available through all four major carriers; Verizon Wireless, AT&T, and Sprint are asking $199.99 for the 16GB version and $249.99 for 32GB model, while T-Mobile has as slightly higher asking price of $279.99 for the 16GB model and $329.99 for the 32GB edition.
