Samsung Galaxy S3 Pre-Orders Begin in Egypt

Samsung Galaxy S3 pre-orders have begun in Egypt through a retailer known as Raya Shop.

According to a report from YouMobile the device will officially launch sometime in the middle of June in the Middle East region.

The Galaxy S3 is already available for pre-order in England through various websites and retailers including Carphone Warehouse, and the carrier Three. Also Amazon is offering the device for pre-order in the United States.

A majority of the retailers seem to be offering the unlocked version which will be priced at $800.

The site's listing also reveals that the device will be released on May 29. This means customers could get their hands on a Galaxy S3 as early as the last week of May or first week of June.

However, none of the major U.S. carriers have announced when they would be releasing the new Android handset.

It is expected to be available on all four of the major carriers, including Verizon.

Two models of the S3 appeared on Amazon on Thursday that were believed to be the AT&T and T-Mobile versions.

The difference between the two is that the T-Mobile model will include the quad-core Exynos chip, whereas the AT&T version will have a dual-core Snapdragon S4 in order to accommodate 4G LTE connectivity.

Samsung unveiled the long awaited Galaxy S3 at its "Mobile Unpacked" event in London, England on May 5.

At the media event, the company announced that it would release the handset across the world by the end of this month.

It sports some impressive specifications including a 4.8-inch high definition Super AMOLED display along with S-Voice, which is an artificial intelligence Siri-like feature created by Samsung.
