Samsung Galaxy S4 Specs: Exynos 5440 Processor Already Being Tested
The rumored processor for the Samsung Galaxy S4, the Exynos 5 5440, is already being tested, according to new evidence.
This new quad-core chip was discovered in Samsung test logs and is expected to be unveiled at this year's Mobile World Congress. The chip is also going to be used to create the next-generation Samsung flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S4.
A Korean source reported last month that this will be the processor featured in the new smartphone when it launches next year.

This chipset will be faster than the one found in the Nexus 10 and will be made on a 28nm process.
This quad-core Exynos 5450 chipset that clocks in at 2.0GHz surfaced in earlier reports that were filled with specification information for the Galaxy S4.
The fact that it keeps popping up is a good indication that this will be the processor that makes its way to the handset.
Samsung's Nexus 10 comes running the Exynos 5250 which is a dual-core chip. Samsung seems to want to improve on this chip by adding another two cores with this Exynos 5440.
The Exynos 5250 is the first Cortex A15 chip to be paired with Mali T604 GPU. The company will most likely use the same set up for the new quad-core version as the 5440 will also utilize Cortex A15 processors.
This chip will make the Samsung Galaxy S4 the fastest and most powerful smartphone on the market. It will also be used in Samsung's next line of tablets.
The Galaxy S4 is also rumored to have a 5-inch HD 1080p Super AMOLED display along with a 13-megapixel camera.
It should be released sometime around the middle of next year.
