Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and 10.1 Release Dates Set for June

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and 10.1 models were finally introduced this week.

The new 8.0 model comes with an 8-inch WXGA TFT display at a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. It also uses a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 1.5GB of RAM. There will be both 16GB and 32GB versions available when it is released along with additional memory that can be added via microSD card.

Pictures of the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 had been leaked earlier this year. It features a slim bezel, 5-megapixel rear camera, and a 1.3-megapixel shooter. It also comes with some of Samsung's exclusive apps such as S Translator, Group Play, and S Travel, and runs Android 4.2 out of the box.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 features the rumored Intel CPU, which is a dual-core chip running at 16.GHz. The tablet also comes with 1GB RAM and the choice of 16 or 32GB of internal memory.

Other specifications include a 10.1-inch WXGA TFT display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, a 3-megapixel rear camera, and a 1.3-megapixel front shooter. It also comes with some of the popular features also found on the Galaxy S4 including Smart Remote that allows users to control their televisions from their handheld device.

Samsung announced that it plans to release both of these tablets globally sometime before the end of this month. However, the company did not divulge pricing information.

The first Galaxy Tab 3 to be introduced was the 7-inch version, which made its debut earlier this year. This model had specifications that were a bit underwhelming and left fans waiting for these more powerful alternatives. The company is also rumored to be coming out with a plus variant of the of the Galaxy Tab 3 models.
