Samsung Galaxy TabPro S Specs, Release Date: Samsung Launches Razor-Thin 2-in-1 Loaded With Windows 10
Samsung calls it "the best of a tablet and a laptop" and it combines the productivity of the latest iteration of the Windows operating system with a brilliantly designed and powerfully built 12-inch Samsung 2-in-1 computer. The Galaxy TabPro S, recently revealed at CES 2016, is a well-crafted device that will give similar computers a run for their money.
The new Samsung 2-in-1 is powered by a sixth-generation dual-core 900MHz Intel Core m3-6Y30 processor with 4 GB of memory and 128 or 256 GB of storage (SSD), all encased in a sleek aluminium chassis.
For a machine running Windows and possessing an Intel chip, the 2-in-1 is surprisingly thin at just 0.25 inches. To compare, Apple's iPad Pro is 0.27 inches thick and Microsoft's Surface Pro 4 is 0.33 inches. The Galaxy TabPro S is also lighter than its rivals at just 1.53 pounds, compared to the iPad Pro (1.57 pounds) and the Surface Pro 4 (1.69 pounds).

The device's design may draw comparisons to the iPad Pro and the Surface Pro, but this 2-in-1 does similar devices one better because it comes with a detachable keyboard and touchpad. Users can detach the super-light tablet from the rest of the device and work, watch movies, or play video games while enjoying the stunning Super AMOLED display, the same type of screen used in Samsung's Galaxy smartphones and in some of the best TVs money can buy today. CNET reports that the Galaxy TabPro S is one of the first laptop-sized computers they've seen with this type of display.
According to CNET, Samsung has not revealed the prices for its Galaxy TabPro S line-up, but a source from the South Korean tech giant has revealed that the company hopes to make the Galaxy TabPro S available in the U.S. within the first few months of 2016. The device will launch worldwide in February.
