Product-Reviews.net speculates that the final name of the smartphone could be the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, which the source also refers to the phone as several times in his account.

The Nexus Prime’s basic specs include a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB RAM, Super AMOLED Plus 4.65-inch 1280 x 720 HD display and 16 GB internal memory.

The smartphone also boasts a sleek 8.8mm thick metal body and a 2000 mAh battery.

The source notes that despite being a beta model, the smartphone looks very much like a retail version. He reports that at 130g-140g, the Nexus Prime is heavier than the Samsung Galaxy S2, but has a “decent” feel in its weight.

Also detailed is the Nexus Prime’s “blazing fast” operation. The source reports that he had no issues with general usage and experienced no lag while attempting to open more than one app at a time.

The source also gave rave reviews about the Ice Cream Sandwich OS, whose official name is Android 2.4.1., according to the beta model. Many have speculated that it would be called Android 4.0.

Describing a “smoother” and “glassy” look to the screens, the source notes that an increased number of animations give the OS gives a more “polished” feel in its overall operation.

He also appreciated the separate “drawers” for apps, games and widgets, which he says makes for better organization of the smartphone. Users can also create their own app drawers.

Updated on Ice Cream Sandwich are the Gmail app, which now works more like Outlook, the calendar widget that is “less cluttered,” and the internet browser, reported to be significantly faster than that of the Gingerbread OS browser.

The Ice Cream Sandwich OS is scheduled to release in late October and the Samsung Nexus Prime is scheduled to release on the Verizon Network on November 3.

While the source tips that Verizon may have an exclusive deal on the Nexus Prime, rumors indicate that the phone will also be released on the Sprint and AT&T 4G networks on November 24.
