Samsung Orb to Place Galaxy S4 Camera Ahead of the Competition
The camera on the Samsung Galaxy S4 will have a new feature called Samsung Orb which focuses specifically on improving the quality of panorama picture taking.
A software engineer currently working on the Galaxy S4 spilled the beans on Samsung Orb stating that it is quite similar to the Photo Sphere that came with Android 4.2, JellyBean.
The new feature will allow users of the smartphone to capture 360-degree panorama photos that have an almost 3-D viewing experience. The Galaxy S4 software will be able to teach users how to use Samsung Orb and show them how to capture a beautiful 360 degree shot.

The engineer also stated that this new software will surpass Photo Sphere's abilities thanks to its compatibility with the Galaxy S4's camera and efficient Facebook integration. Users of the social network will be able to share these Orb photos with friends in the same way they are able to do it with regular pictures.
Pictures allegedly taken by the camera on the Samsung Galaxy S4 surfaced on the internet earlier this week.
The photos surfaced on Picasa web and, according to the benchmarks posted on the site, the smartphone will feature a better resolution of 2322 x 4128 pixels. This supports recent rumors which state that the Galaxy S4 will feature a 13-megapixel camera.
However, the photo allegedly taken by the camera is nothing impressive and is most likely a fake given that the detail and overall quality of it is very poor and not up to speed with most 8-megapixel cameras, let alone a 13-megapixel one.
Other specifications rumored for the Galaxy S4 include a 1080p 4.99-inch display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core chipset, and Android 4.2, JellyBean.
