'Scandal' Season 5 Episode 12 Spoilers: The POTUS Interested in Reporter; Olivia Casts Doubts
Last week's episode of ABC's hit political drama TV series "Scandal" season 5 titled "The Candidate" saw a rather interesting working relationship between Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) and Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young) as the latter prepares for her presidential campaign.
Viewers witnessed how the two women talked casually about their affairs with Fitz Grant (Tony Goldwyn). With Olivia at her side, Mellie is pretty much on the right track toward her destination to become the next President of the United States. But the road won't be that easy for her. The previous episode hinted that she may find her opponent in the incumbent Vice President, Susan Ross (Artemis Pebdani), who was being seduced to the idea by Liz (Portia de Rossi).
Meanwhile, the synopsis shared by The Futon Critic for the episode titled "Wild Card" indicates that Fitz is still going after his own interests, which as it happens, is exactly what his ex-Chief of Staff Cyrus (Jeff Perry) really planned. Liz, on her part, tags David (Joshua Malina) in a scheme she masterminded. Meanwhile, Olivia is still anxious to what Jake (Scott Foley) might have in mind now that he's nabbed a big role as head of the NSA.
A promo video released by the network offered a glimpse at the things that are about to transpire in the forthcoming segment. In one of the scenes, Abby (Darby Stanchfield) can be seen telling Cyrus that Fitz is behaving like a "teenager" lately. The details are quite stark as the Commander-in-Chief can also be found making out heavily with a lady inside the limo. The deed is even carried out in the bedroom only to be interrupted by someone. The video ends with the president shouting at Abby.
"You are totally out of the line, Abby!" a half-naked Fitz says.
Find out how these events unfold when "Scandal" season 5 episode 12 premieres this Thursday, Feb. 25, at 9 p.m. on ABC.
