Scarlett Johansson and Romain Dauriac Wedding: 'Avengers' Actress Secretly Marries in Remote Location

Actress Scarlett Johansson has apparently married French journalist Romain Dauriac in secret, according to reports. The marriage ceremony was secret to the extent that any details, like which country it was held in, are scarce. Speculations about her marriage started in November when she was spotted wearing a gold ring underneath her engagement ring.

It was also around that same time that the journalist was spotted wearing a similar ring. Dauriac had met Johansson in 2012 through mutual friends. A month earlier, in September, rumors of their engagement started spreading when they welcomed daughter Rose Dorothy into the world.

"Scarlett and Romain were married in a very intimate ceremony after the birth of their daughter. They kept the wedding a big secret because they both wanted privacy," a source told The New York Post's Page Six. "It is believed they may have married in a remote and natural location, such as Colorado."

The actress was asked March about her plans to settle in either the U.S. or in France in which she replied with, "I've been thinking lately that maybe it's good to move to some faraway country where you can ski."

"There must exist a world in which I can balance those things, be able to raise a family and still make a film a year, or work on my own, develop things, do theater. I want to be able to have it all," Johansson explained.

Johansson was previously married to actor Ryan Reynolds from 2008 to 2010, in which afterwards the actress shared that she was not thinking about marriage at that time.

"I never think about marriage … It's really not important to me. It has no relevance to me right now," she said. "I'm in a nice relationship, I'm working a lot… To me, being in a functioning relationship doesn't mean you have to be married."
