'Scream Queens' Season 2 Spoilers and Update: Diego Boneta No Longer Returning, Harry Styles to Join Cast?

Horror-comedy TV series "Scream Queens" will be returning to the small screen soon for its second season. But before it could even air its first episode, fans of the show gets some head starters on what to expect in the upcoming new season.

According to a report by Wet Paint, a character of the show will no longer be returning. Unlike Nick Jonas' character Boone Clemens, Diego Boneta's character Pete Martinez will not rise from the grave anymore.

It can be remembered in the season 1 finale that Pete got killed off. And because series co-creator Ryan Murphy has been known to resurrecting characters, fans assumed that the same fate will take place in Pete. Unfortunately, it has been confirmed already that Boneta himself that his character is officially dead.
"It was honestly such an amazing platform for me and such a great experience that it gave me these movies I'm working on right now," said. "So unfortunately I won't be going back for the second season because of that," he added.

Boneta will also be busy especially since he has three upcoming movies which are "Before I Fall," "Another You" and "The Titan." The show will not be short of male casts though as three new male characters will be added once the second season returns. Bustle detailed that these new male characters will be playing as doctors as the show will be shifting in setting—from the campus to the hospital—where Chanel Oberlin, played by Emma Roberts, will be facing a life in an asylum after being charged guilty of murder.

None of the new male actors have been revealed yet but there were some hints such as One Direction's Harry Style joining in. As detailed in Fashion and Style, the British boy band member is in the talks for the project. But there is no confirmation to the rumor so it's best to take it with a pinch of salt.
"Scream Queens" season 2 will start filming in July.
