Seattle Seahawks Roster Rumors: Christine Michael Back with the Team

The Seattle Seahawks are unofficially the NFL's busiest team right now in terms of boosting their lineup. After a series of moves in the past couple of days, they once again made another one, this time bringing back Christine Michael, a former second round draft pick of the team in 2013. The addition of Michael will surely boost the Seahawks' running back depth in time for their matchup against the Cleveland Browns.

The 25-year-old was originally picked by the Seahawks two years ago, but eventually was shipped to Dallas in September of this year for a conditional draft pick. It was a sensible move for Seattle at that time because of the dominance of Marshawn Lynch. But with Lynch's injury and backup Thomas Rawls, the team realized they need someone familiar to fill in, and this is where Michael comes in.

"I'm happy to be back here with the guys that drafted me… with the guys that I call my brothers," Michael told some reporters on Wednesday.

In his first couple of years as a professional football player for the Seahawks, he carried the ball 53 times for 254 yards. However, he noticeably had a difficult time with fumbles and wasn't really good at the passing game. But he should be more than willing to learn and take this opportunity with Seattle after tumultuous stints in Dallas and Washington. He knows that being a journeyman in this league is not a good thing when it comes to developing as a player, and that he's looking to prove himself the second time around.

The Seahawks are desperate for help right at this moment, with injuries keeping the team intact for a push at the final stretch of the season. Lynch is still recovering from an abdominal surgery suffered a month ago, while his top backup, Rawls, is already done for the season due to a broken ankle. Now it's up to Michael to step up and earn his spot here.
