'Sextortion' Prison Terms: Hackers Sentenced Following Nude Photo Poker Plot
Two so-called "sextortion" prison terms were handed down by a court on Monday, after a group of Silicon Valley hackers were sentenced for threatening to publicly reveal nude photos of online professional poker players who refused to pay them off.
The extortion scandal has seen three hackers plead guilty to the hacking plots, and on Monday two of the three were sentenced.
Tyler Schrier, 23, was sentenced to 42 months after admitting to multiple counts of conspiracy, extortion, and illegal access. Schrier admitted that he had even stolen $4,000 more from an online poker account after being freed on bail in the current case, showing a complete lack of remorse.

Meanwhile, co-defendant Keith James Hundson, 39, also pleaded guilty and was sentenced to two years for his role in the hacking and theft of the naked photographs.
The third defendant in the case, 22-year-old Ryder Finney, also pleaded guilty but his sentenced was not given at the same hearing.
The case rose to greater prominence after the stepson of top pro poker player Barry Greenstein, Joe Sebok, was exposed when Schrier emailed his nude photo to approximately 100 people. Sebok had refused to pay the blackmail fee to the hackers.
Sebok spoke in court saying that the ordeal had "instantly damaged my ability to sustain my livelihood doing what I had been since 2005." He has since quit professional poker.
The third defendant , 22-year-old Ryder Finney, will be sentenced at a future date, according to reports.
