Hampton is best known for her role on Showtime's "Shameless" as Veronica Fischer, but the actress has also appeared on television series such as "Reba," "Scrubs," and "Popular."

Additionally, the actress has appeared in movies that include "You Again" and "The Mostly Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Green."

Today, Hollywood seems to be experiencing a baby boom, and several other expectant starlets join Hampton this year.

Moreover, women in Hollywood are unfazed by being an older mother, and continue to expand their families later in life- a trend that is becoming more common worldwide.

For instance, Thandie Newton and her husband recently announced that they are expecting their third child, despite Newton being 40-years-old.

Also, reports this week confirmed that Gwen Stefani, 43, and her husband Gavin Rossdale are expecting a third child.

"It's very new and they just found out," said a source close to the musical couple, according to Us magazine. "They're excited!"

Furthermore, Halle Berry is expecting a child with her new husband Olivier Martinez. The 47-year-old admitted that the pregnancy came as a surprise.

"This has been the biggest surprise of my life, to tell you the truth," said the actress speaking to CNN in April. "Thought I was kind of past the point where this could be a reality for me. So it's been a big surprise and the most wonderful."

Pregnancies that occur later in life are becoming more common. However, studies indicate health risks to moms and babies.

Firstly, fertility begins to wane during a woman's 30's, and it may be difficult to conceive naturally, according to Women's Health Magazine.

Also, older pregnant women have a higher chance of suffering a miscarriage as well as an increased chance of developing gestational diabetes, high blood pressure, and other health risks.

Furthermore, older mothers are more likely to conceive twins or triplets, and there are delivery differences such as prolonged labor.
