Sherri Shepherd broke her silence on her surrogate baby dispute during a recent appearance on "The Wendy Williams Show."

The former "The View" co-host, 47, is currently embroiled in a bitter divorce with her estranged husband Lamar Sally, 43, and she recently spoke out about the situation.

Sally claims Shepherd agreed to mother a baby conceived using his sperm and a donor's egg after their 2011 wedding and that she abruptly changed her mind six months into the pregnancy when their marriage began to crumble.

The pair separated in May and the surrogate baby was born in August, however, the comedian has never met the infant because she reportedly wants nothing to do with him.

"We can't say anything about that," Shepherd told Williams of baby Lamar Junior (L.J.) "I have a lot of lawyers and I'm in court right now and it's very public and it's very painful."

Insiders claim Shepherd, who has a 9-year-old son from her first marriage, wants nothing to do with the surrogate baby because she believes Sally defrauded her into signing the surrogate agreement. Sally, a Los Angeles based script writer, maintains that they had a legitimate agreement in place and he reportedly wants child support and Shepherd's name to be on the birth certificate.

"[Sherri] said, 'I will love the baby like it's mine,'" Sally told People.com. "I never thought in a million years she would turn her back on L.J [the surrogate baby]."

Shepherd remains tight-lipped about the situation because legal proceedings are still in place.

"You know for me, I'm not Tori and Dean," Shepherd explained. "I don't get paid to talk about my life, so when people Tweet me I always say, 'Go to Wendy, she knows what's going on. You can ask Wendy about my life.'"

The actress, who recently made her Broadway debut in Cinderella, acknowledged the "creepy" alliance Sally had formed with her ex-husband, Jeffrey Tarpley.

"What is that about?" Shepherd said of their unlikely bond. "That's creepy! That's nasty!"

The estranged couple have a pretrial hearing set for Oct. 2 in Pennsylvania, where their surrogate baby was born last month.
