Simon Cowell and Dannii Minogue Affair Confirmed, Singer 'Distraught'
Simon Cowell and Dannii Minogue allegedly had an affair in 2008 while the Australian singer-songwriter was still a judge on "X-Factor," according to a new tell-all book, "Sweet Revenge: The Intimate Life of Simon Cowell."
Simon Cowell and Dannii Minogue's affair was apparently confirmed by former BBC journalist Tom Bower. The book claims to have quotes from Cowell himself, who denied the rumors in 2008, but confessed them to Bower.
"I had a crush on her," Cowell revealed in the book. "It was Dannii's hair, the sexy clothes … I was like a schoolboy. She was foxy. She was a real man's girl. Very feminine."

The unauthorized biography also alleges that Cowell and Minogue's affair- while passionate- did not last very long.
"There were a few bonks and then it petered out while I was in America," Cowell allegedly told a friend of his time with the TV personality.
Now that the book is being advertised, Cowell's response to it has not been favorable, but he doesn't seem to be taking things too seriously.
"Just seen the TV ad for the unauthorized book on me," he tweeted. "Yikes!"
Minogue, though, is "distraught," according to reports, especially because she split from Rugby League player Kris Smith only two weeks ago. They have a single son, Ethan, who could be affected by the break-up and the affair becoming public.
"She's understandably distraught by all of this coming out just as she's struggling to cope with the breakdown of her relationship to Kris," Minogue's confidante told U.K.'s Mirror. "[The affair] was all such a long time ago and to have to deal with it now in the wake of the last few weeks is all too much. She is incredibly raw and this is the last thing she wants to endure."
Minogue herself her neither confirmed nor denied the recent events. Her representative declined to comment on the rumors. Friends of Minogue, however, are furious at Cowell's attitude toward the affair.
"[He has] thrown her to the lions," one insider told the Mirror. "It's betrayal, pure and simple. And it looks very much now like Simon simply hired Dannii, used her, then spat her out afterwards."
"Sweet Revenge: The Intimate Life of Simon Cowell" is released Friday.
