Smitty Garners 30th No. 1 Single With 'Here I Am'
One of CCM’s most recognized artists, singer/songwriter Michael W. Smith, celebrated his 30th career #1 single this week as “Here I Am” reached the top on the R&R Inspirational Chart. “Here I Am” is Michael’s second consecutive #1 single from his latest release, Healing Rain, with the album’s title track previously holding the top-spot on the R&R Inspirational, AC Monitored, AC Indicator, and CRW Inspirational charts.
In the midst of his nationwide radio success, “Smitty” continues his trek around the globe on the Healing Rain Tour, which will make its way to Brazil at the end of this month. Also scheduled on the tour are venues in Frankfurt, Germany; Geneva, Switzerland; Paris, France; London, England; and Holland, Netherlands, where more than 14,000 tickets sold out in four weeks.
On July 3rd, Smith performed in Seoul, Korea to more than 8,000 for what the artist considers to be a highlight of his career.

In addition to his non-stop concert schedule this summer and fall, Michael is readying the release of his first major motion picture, The Second Chance.
