Sofia Vergara Breakup From Loeb: 'She Looked Miserable' (PHOTO)

Sofia Vergara has officially become a single woman, according to new reports today.

Vergara, who attended the Met Gala on Monday night in New York City, revealed to close friends that her two-year relationship with Nick Loeb had come to an end.

The "Modern Family" actress arrived at the "East Coast Oscar" event wearing a silvery gown, commenting on how "very happy" she was to have received an invitation.

"I have a dress from Marchesa and jewels from Harry Winston," Vergara told the Washington Post. "I'm enjoying it... I have seen everyone, Jessica Alba, look at her, how divine. Look at the models. I don't even know if they are models or palm trees."

Sources at the event however, also revealed the Vergara had admitted to splitting with Loeb, citing that the two had not been getting along as of late.

"Sofia was confiding in friends at the ball that she and Nick have split. They have been fighting a lot recently and have been on the brink of splitting many times. It is not yet clear if they are over for good, but they are done as a couple for now," a source told Page Six of the New York Post.

Reports suggested that the couple had been facing pressure due to Vergara's rising stardom in Hollywood. Aside from acting on "Modern Family" Vergara has also appeared as the host of "Saturday Night Live."

Vergara's "obvious sex appeal" has complicated things for Loeb, whose father served President Regan as the Ambassador of Denmark. The couple first met during the 2010 Golden Globe Awards.

The couple was spotted at a restaurant in Manhattan's Upper East Side last month, according to Page Six, who suggested that Vergara looked obviously dissatisfied.

"She looked miserable," the source said. "Sofia looked beautiful, but she did not seem happy with him at all."
