The Sony Xperia Z Ultra is one of the company's most impressive devices to date and features a monstrous 6.4-inch display. Sony hopes to compete successfully with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 which is expected to be released sometime this fall.

The Xperia Z features impressive specifications including Qualcomm's most powerful processor to date the Snapdragon 800 quad-core 2.2 GHz Krait 400 chip, Adreno 330 graphics, 2GB RAM, and Sony's Triluminous display that uses OptiContrast and X-Reality tech. The device also comes equipped with Android 4.2.2, JellyBean and LTE connectivity.

The Ultra sports an exterior design that is quite similar to the Sony Xperia Z smartphone. It combines a metallic frame with tempered glass on both the front and back which gives it a minimalistic and stylish look. It features a sturdy a classier build quality than the Galaxy Note 2 as that device consists of glass and plastic.

Even though it is a large device, it is still extremely comfortable to hold, according to a CNET, who had the chance to test a pre-production model. This device is also surprisingly thin considering its size. It weighs around 212g (7.5 ounces), but does not feel that heavy. This display on the device is also described as "stunning" by the publication.
