Stacey Dash Under Fire for Criticism of Beyonce, Jay-Z

Stacey Dash, the 46-year-old actress, is receiving backlash after speaking out about rapper Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce Knowles' most recent anniversary trip to Cuba.

Dash took to her Twitter account to question the pair of recording artists who took a recent trip to Havana, Cuba for their fifth wedding anniversary.

"Do you care that The Jay Z's have taken the capital you have given them and funded a communist oppressive regime," Dash questioned on her Twitter account Tuesday.

Knowles and Jay-Z, the singer and rapper respectively, reportedly took an interest in visiting Cuba after attending the release of the film "JR & José Parlá: The Wrinkles of the City, Havana, Cuba," at Miami's Art Basel, according to blogger Necole Kane. The film and accompanying book highlights murals in Havana that reportedly caught Knowles and Jay-Z's interest.

However, the pair's trip caused some like U.S. Representatives Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and Mario Diaz-Balart of South Florida to question the couple's intentions. Dash followed suit by taking to her Twitter, but managed to receive a great deal of backlash on the social media network in the process.

"Jay-Z & Beyonce did not tank the economy, not pay taxes or outsource jobs, ur boy Mitt Romney did, who btw LOST," one person tweeted to Dash, who was a vocal supporter of former presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

Others criticized Dash a bit more harshly.

"Stacey dash, practice standing somewhere looking pretty while shutting the (expletive) up," another person tweeted.

Still, others decided to threaten the actress for her political opinions voiced on Twitter.

"Sweetie we will end you @REALStaceyDash," one person tweeted.

Jay-Z and Beyonce reportedly had permission from the United States to enter Cuba amid a well-documented embargo taking place. Although Dash decided to voice her opinion on the matter, this is not the first time that she has been under attack for her political views.

Dash received death threats after announcing her endorsement for Romney in the 2012 presidential race.
