Stacey Dash Uses God To Defend Paula Deen, Receives Backlash

Stacey Dash, the 46-year-old actress, is defending cooking show host Paula Deen after the latter was recently dropped by Food Network after she was accused of being a racist.

Dash took to Twitter to post a godly message in defense of Deen.

"God does everything for a reason @Paula_Deen," Dash tweeted. "Only God can judge your heart BTW my daughter loves your show (only way she can get me to cook)."

The actress received a plethora of criticism on Twitter people noticed her message.

"To be fair, getting cast as one of Paula Deen's servers is the biggest role Stacey Dash has landed in years," one person tweeted.

Another person accused the actress of Barbadian, African American and Mexican descent of being racist herself.

"Stacey Dash has always hated black people," the person tweeted.

Another individual thought the actress lacked in mental capacity.

"Stacey Dash needs several seats..tweeting about her daughter loving Paula Deen's show..that (movie) 'Clueless' must've gotten to her head," the person tweeted.

Dash's support for Deen comes after the 66-year-old restaurateur made headlines last week when one of her former restaurant employees alleged that she made racial jokes at the establishment. In a testimony from a Deen's deposition on May 17, the Food Network host admitted to using the N-word in the past.

Now, the network is reportedly ready to part ways with Deen after making the decision not to renew her contract, according to a press release that Food Network released Friday afternoon. Deen has been on the network since 2002 when she appeared on "Paula's Home Cooking" and later added "Paula's Best Dishes" to the channel in 2008.

Dash has been under fire for supporting public figures in the past and was vocal about receiving death threats after announcing her endorsement for Mitt Romney in the 2012 presidential race.
