Stevie Nicks, Lady Antebellum ACMs Performance Makes Waves (VIDEO)

Stevie Nicks took the stage alongside Lady Antebellum during Sunday night's ACM Awards during a performance that is still making waves this week.

The 49th Academy of Country Music Awards took place April 6 from Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena with a full schedule of live performances. Among the best of the performances was a collaboration between Lady Antebellum and Fleetwood Mac's iconic Stevie Nicks.

From the start, Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelly swept the crowd opening with a stripped-down rendition of "Golden." Nicks then took the mic for the second verse as the crowd's applause mounted. When the chorus arrived, all four performers added their voices before the song gently came to an end.

Moving into the second song, Lady A's Dave Haywood played a guitar riff of Fleetwood Mac's hit "Rhiannon. When Nicks added her celebrated vocals, the crowd went into a frenzy of cheers. Shortly thereafter, Hillary Scott added on her moving vocals. Watch the performance here.

It comes as no surprise that the performance rocked the ACM Awards. Nicks joined Lady Antebellum as a part of CMT's Crossroads in the past during a performance that was met with great success. The pairing's recording of "Golden" is available for download on iTunes.

Meanwhile, the ACM's also saw performances by Miranda Lambert and husband Blake Shelton, Tim McGraw and wife Faith Hill, Toby Keith, The Band Perry, George Strait, Jason Aldean, Hunter Hayes and many more.

The country music awards show also recognized some of the best artists in country music today, including George Strait who earned the Entertainer of the Year award.

"Wow … I always said I had the best fans in the world and I heard this was a fan-voted thing, so I rest my case," the 61-year-old singer said during his acceptance speech. "This is so amazing. This has been an amazing past 30 years."

Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban and and Blake Shelton were also among the night's top award winners.
