Stewart's 'Snow White' Role Not Stripped: Studio Denies Rumors, 'Proud' of Film
Universal Studios has denied previous reports which stated that Kristen Stewart had been dropped from the planned sequel of "Snow White and the Huntsman."
It was previously stated that Kristen Stewart had been released from her role as Snow White for the possible sequel of the film following her affair with the film's director Rupert Sanders. Universal Studios, however, has denied any such claims.
"We are extremely proud of 'Snow White and the Huntsman' and we're currently exploring all options to continue the franchise," Donna Langely, the co-chairman of Universal Pictures, said in a statement to TheWrap. "Any reports that Kristen Stewart has been dropped are false."

The studio is allegedly in the midst of plans for a second Snow White film that would be centered on the story of the huntsman, who is played by actor Chris Hemsworth. Stewart's character in the film has yet to be confirmed.
As far as directors go, Universal has yet to make a statement about who would be cast in the potential sequel although Sanders will likely be chosen to direct a different Universal film, "90 Church: the True Story of the Narcotics Squad From Hell."
While some have suggested that Stewart's career could be ruined by her personal choices, the Universal statement supports what many others have already vocalized.
"She has already had a valid franchise contract. To replace the star of a successful, ongoing franchise is a huge risk," Maxy wrote on the Yahoo blog. "Cheating scandals in Hollywood world can't ruin the actor's career."
Stewart on the other hand, has opted out a film opportunity that she had previously committed to. She was cast for Nick Cassavetes film "Cali" but will no longer play a role. Robert Pattinson, however, has plans to continue with work immediately and has reportedly just landed a role in Werner Herzog's "Queen of the Desert."
