Student Finds Cocaine in Terrorism Book
A local student taking a class at Mid America Nazarene University in Kansas got a little more than she paid for when she found a strange substance in a textbook on terrorism she purchased online.
Sophia Stockton, a junior at the University, bought the book Understanding Terrorism: Challenges, Perspectives and Issues for $30 on Amazon. She discovered the peculiar substance upon receiving the package in the mail.
"It was Sunday night and I just received it in the mail," Stockton told FOX 4. "I opened it and I was just kind of flipping through the pages and so my 18-year-old brother was sitting at the table too."

Stockton suddenly noticed an extra little package with a white powdery substance.
"Just a little tiny package falls out with white powder in it," Stockton said. "And I'm like white powder just fell out of my terrorism book. And so my brother was like 'Oh, that's scary.'"
Stockton brought the package to the Gardner Police Department the next day, still unsure of what it could be, according to FOX 4.
Gardner Police tested the substance immediately and discovered it was in fact cocaine.
"They went back and they tested it and he came back like 10 minutes later and said, you didn't happen to purchase cocaine with your text book did you?" Stockton told FOX 4. "I was like no."
An attorney friend of Stockton's told her the tiny bag was approximately two to three grams of cocaine, worth $300 to $400, FOX 4 reported.
"In class we talked about people sending bombs in the mail and I thought of you know they send anthrax in the mail, too," Stockton said.
Gardner Police told FOX 4 they destroyed the drugs. Authorities are currently investigating the possible sources of the substance.
