A 5-year-old girl cheated death after her Minions stuffed toy broke her fall from a three-story apartment building.
The young girl from Colorado Springs fell backwards out of her family's three-story apartment while playing, but was saved by her stuffed Minions doll, which cushioned her fall and left her with only a broken arm.
Police said the girl was playing in her bedroom but fell whille holding onto the stuffed toy. The toy padded her fall, and she was rushed to a local hospital where she was treated for a broken arm.

The redeeming story about a Minions teddy bear toy saving a girl's life has underscored the popularity of the film.
"Minions," launched by Universal Pictures In June 11, has earned nearly $470 million in the box office to date, exceeding $100 million during its opening weekend, nabbing the record for the biggest opening weekend for an animated film, coming in second to "Shrek the Third."
It also broke overseas records in England, amassing $18.2 million in theaters, and knocking "Jurassic World" from its top slot at the U.K. box office.
The character, first seen as sidekicks to supervillain Gru, quickly evolved to become a national phenomenon, with their own movie spinoff making up the third film in the "Despicable Me" franchise.
