Super Smash Bros 4 Rumors: Mario Proposes to Princess Peach in Game? (PHOTOS)

A new screen shot from Super Smash Bros. 4 appears to show Mario proposing to his longtime female companion, Princess Peach.

The picture shows Mario placing a ring on the Peach's finger, but according to hints made by game director Masahiro Sakurai, it could mean something else entirely.

Sakurai posted a message on the Miiverse asking, "Who is this ring for?" Another thing to note is the placement of the ring being on the middle finger and not the ring finger, but who knows if real world marriage standards even matter in video game world.

Super Smash Bros has become a Nintendo fan favorite for the company since its first release on the N64, followed by "Super Smash Bros. Melee" on Gamecube and "Super Smash Bros. Brawl" on the Wii.

This will be the first time the series comes to a handheld system as it will release on the Wii U and 3DS sometime in 2014.

For now, the game can be pre-ordered on Amazon.
