'Supergirl' Season 1 Episode 7 Spoilers: Kara Loses Power; 'Chasing Life' Star Joins CBS Show
CBS' hit superhero drama TV series "Supergirl" returns this week with another exciting, action-packed brand new episode that will see the citizens of National City on the brink of danger while their hero loses her powers.
The preview for the episode titled "Human For A Day," which was posted on YouTube, sees Kara (Melissa Benoist) telling James (Mehcad Brooks) that she has lost her superpowers. To console his co-worker, the former Daily Planet journalist told her to just enjoy her time off as a superhero. But things quickly take a turn for the worse when a very powerful earthquake hits the city and everyone is in disarray.
Usually, in these times of trouble, it's the Supergirl that the people of National City can count on. However, it appears that the Kryptonian still hasn't gotten her abilities back and she still can't be found, as what Cat (Calista Flockhart) broadcast on the television.

Making matters worse, Kara's adoptive sister, Alex (Chyler Leigh) and her boss Hank (David Harewood) are trapped inside the army base with one of the escaped prisoners from Fort Rozz named Jemm (Charles Halford).
Despite these drastic scenarios, it appears that Kara is still determined to act to stop the chaos and destruction despite her being vulnerable. In the promo, she can be seen standing toe-to-toe with an armed robber.
"You don't want to hurt these people," Supergirl said in a not-so-convinced tone, knowing deep inside that she could get hurt or worse, end up dead, given her current condition.
On the casting side of things, ETOnline.com reported the upcoming appearance of "Chasing Life" star Italia Ricci in the CBS drama.
According to the media outlet, the actor was signed in a major recurring antagonistic role. She particularly plays the character named Siobhan Smythe, a new employee at CatCo with whom Kara will have some beef with.
Their conflict escalates even further when Smythe faces off with the Supergirl as the DC Comics supervillain, Silver Banshee. In the comics, Silver Banshee has the ability to weaken and kill anyone who is in range of her destructive screams.
"Supergirl" Season 1 airs Monday at 8/7c on CBS.
