'Supergirl' Season 1 Finale Spoilers: Kara Zor-El Risks Everything; Series Star Gives Hints of Character's Fate
CBS is now getting ready to kick off the Season 1 finale of its hit superhero drama TV series "Supergirl" this week. There are a lot of surprises and intense developments to be expected, including the fate of one villain who is about to face the wrath of the titular heroine.
Spoiler alert for those who missed "Myriad," Non (Chris Vance) and Indigo (Laura Vandervoort) decided to activate Myriad, a powerful device that could make them take control the minds of all human beings and use them according to their will. Fortunately, Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist) was not affected by the mind-control thing and quickly set off to put a stop on whatever Non and Indigo have in mind.
A huge battle between the forces of good and evil will certainly unfold in the upcoming Season 1 finale as the synopsis from The Futon Critic teases that Supergirl will be forced to risk it all—including her life—as she comes face to face with an "unexpected foe."

The promo video for the finale, which can be seen below, is packed to the brim with epic scenes showing Supergirl teaming up with the Martian Manhunter (David Harewood) to take down Non and Indigo.
The clip also gave glimpse on the unknown new character, who can be seen carrying a weapon that looks like it's made of kryptonite. Will the hero of National City withstand through all the trials that are coming along her way?
In related news, Vandervoort spoke with Global News to talk about her character and its future in the series. She told the publication that Supergirl will really have a hard time going toe to toe with her Indigo.
"…she teleports and transforms through technology, so she's hard to fight," the actress who played Supergirl on "Smallville" said.
When asked if Indigo will return for a yet to be confirmed season 2, the Canadian star only expressed her enthusiasm to work again in the show.
However, she seems to tease that her villainous alter-ego will survive the wrath of the Kryptonian girl.
"You just need a bunch of ones and zeroes and she can come back. Everything in binary," she said.
"Supergirl" Season 1 finale airs this Monday, Apr. 18, on CBS.
