Supermodel Miranda Kerr: 'I'm Christian, I Pray Every Day'
Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr recently spoke about her Christianity, spirituality and dedication to prayer in an interview highlighting her new line of tea china for the U.K.-based company Royal Albert.
Kerr, who split from husband Orlando Bloom in 2013, briefly discussed her spirituality and Christianity while promoting her new line of tea china with The Telegraph at a New York City hotel earlier this month. When reporter Jessica Grose asked Kerr about her religion and spirituality, the former Victoria's Secret model denied previous reports that connected her to the Buddhist beliefs of her former husband.
"No, I'm not Buddhist. Orlando is," Kerr told The Telegraph, adding, "I'm not Buddhist. I'm Christian. I pray every day. I meditate every day and I do yoga. I'm not religious, I'm spiritual. And praying is something my grandmother taught me as well. To pray and be grateful, have gratitude, is a big thing for me."

When Grose asked Kerr what her support system is in New York City, as she is originally from Gunnedah, Australia, the model replied: "When I have challenges now, I feel like I sit with them, I try to look at things, because there's always a positive and a negative to everything."
"And sometimes I'll speak to friends, and sometimes I'll just meditate and I'll visualize letting it go, or whatever it might be. Meditation and yoga, and having people, as I said, who you trust, who you talk to. But also writing. I like to write, and then I can rip it up or burn it."
Kerr and her actor husband Bloom announced their plans to separate in October 2013. The two share a son, Flynn, and both parents reside in New York City. Although Kerr ended her contract as a Victoria's Secret angel in April 2013, the 31-year-old has taken on several other modeling contracts and entrepreneurial opportunities, such as becoming the face of Swarovski crystal and launching her own organic skincare line, KORA.
When Kerr announced her departure from Victoria's Secret in 2013, she said she chose not to renew her contract so she could focus on her blossoming career as an entrepreneur.
"This is a natural evolution," Kerr said in a statement. "The thing is, I've been modeling since I was 13. I'm now entering a new phase in my life. I have felt this coming since my son was born and, after I became a mother, I realized I needed to prioritize my time."
