T-Mobile Preps Its 4G Network for New iPhones
T-Mobile recently announced its plans to expand its 4G network programs after the company struck a $4 billion deal with Ericsson and Nokia Siemens Networks in order to improve its 4G reception in the U.S.
The carrier plans to ready an updated HSPA+ network so it can finally be sufficient for carrying the iPhone 4S. T-Mobile also stated that it will begin rolling out its very own 4G LTE network in 2013. This new HSPA+ network should be available at the end of this year,
The company wants to have these iPhone-compatible HSPA+ networks out in a large number of markets and the bands in it are the 1900 MHz spectrum.

And even though T-Mobile is now claiming that it will have a network ready for the iPhone, no deal to carry the device has been struck between the carrier and Apple.
The last time T-Mobile mentioned the iPhone, the carrier pretty much said it would be ready to support it soon.
"A nice side benefit of the refarming effort is that our 4G network will be compatible with a broader range of devices, including the iPhone," said the company's CTO in March of this year. "The other important benefit of our network modernization effort is the coverage improvements it will deliver, especially when it comes to in-home coverage.
"As we refarm our 1900 spectrum, we will continue to fully support our customers with 2G devices," he added.
With the new announcement, customers can now be assured that the possibility of T-Mobile carrying the iPhone is a lot stronger.
This one device is a true game changer as Sprint's revenue has grown thanks to its acquirement of the iPhone 4S that was released at the end of last year.
T-Mobile already services over one million unlocked iPhones.
