Tamera Mowry-Housley Cautions Against Living Together Before Marriage
Tamera Mowry-Housley, the 35-year-old Christian actress and new co-host of the talk show "The Real," recently cautioned people against pursuing living together with a significant other before marriage.
"I'm also conservative about relationships like living together before you're married. We just spoke about that and I don't think you should," Mowry-Housley recently told CocoaFab.com. "I didn't want to live with my boyfriend because I wanted to get married to experience that. All the other girls, except for (The Real co-host) Jeannie, wanted to know what they were getting before they got married."
Mowry-Housley debated the topic of shacking up on her new talk show recently and explained why she chose her position on the matter.

"My position is that I'm jumping into this thing on faith," Mowry-Housley told CocoaFab.com. "Statistics show that if you live with your husband before you're married, divorce rates are higher."
Although Mowry-Housley says it may be more socially acceptable to live with a boyfriend or girlfriend before marriage, the Christian actress said her grandmother taught her to think outside of the box.
"Like my grandmother always said, 'dare to be different'," she told CocoaFab.com. "If you start having sex at such a young age, by the time you're in your 30s and 40s, it's old. I wanted to experience all of that once I got married and living with my husband."
Mowry-Housley is not only a wife, but a mother who previously spoke about the importance of God and her family. In the April 2013 issue of Essence magazine that is known as the "Career Success Guide Issue," Tamera spoke about being a new mother while prioritizing God in her life.
"I've always wanted to be a mother. I'm a nurturer, a girly girl," she told Essence. "I know my priorities: God, family and work … When those things are in check, the work will flow."
