Tamera Mowry Reveals How Dreams of Her Ideal Husband Changed
Tamera Mowry-Housely is revealing how her husband has changed her idea of who she should marry.
Mowry-Housely married her husband and Fox News correspondent Adam Housley in 2011. While Mowry-Housely is biracial, her husband is white and the actress has publicly revealed that she has encountered some heinous comments because of the union. The 35-year-old Christian actress told revealed that her mindstate has drastically changed when it comes to her husband.
"Honestly, growing up, I [just] knew I was going to marry a Black man. But, as I grew up, I learned to just be open," she told Ebony magazine. "I just wanted to be with someone who was confident around me and who I felt comfortable being myself with."

During a previous appearance on the talk show "Bethenny" earlier this year, the 35-year-old co-host of "The Real" revealed that she is getting better at dealing with racist remarks about her marriage.
"I think maybe because social media is what it is right now," Mowry-Housely previously told host Bethenny Frankel. "I have a Twitter account and people feel like they can just come to it and say whatever but I've learned to love my block button and I'm just choosing to see the positive side of it. We have more people loving on us than hating on us and we are choosing to focus on that now."
She revealed why people's negative comments impacted her so deeply.
"I was actually hurt because my parents had experienced it way back in the day and I was hurt because we as a community have come so far and we fight against it all the time," she said on the show. "I was hurt that people still felt that way but the opposite way, you see what I'm saying?"
