Tedashii on Mase Leaving His Church; 'Everybody's Trying to Find Themselves'
Christian rapper Tedashii made an appearance on VladTV this week where he discussed pastor and rapper Mase's decision to leave his church and return to music full time.
The host asked Tedashii to share his thoughts on Mase leaving his congregation, which consists of two mega sized churches -one in Atlanta, Georgia and the other in Phoenix, Arizona, to return to the secular hip-hop scene.
The Christian MC admitted to being a fan of Mase, but was not familiar with all the details.

"Everybody's trying to find themselves," he said. "It's difficult when you're in the public eye. That brother has never left it. Whether it's Mase the rapper, or Pastor Mase and people are shouting him out in ways that are respectful and disrespectful. It's hard, so I don't want to necessarily speak to what he's feeling or experiencing."
Tedashii said he met Mase on a plane, where the platinum selling ex-Bad Boy artist expressed his appreciation for the Christian rapper and his camp for their music and movement.
Tedashii also discussed the difficulties of living a certain way when the people around you are pulling you in different directions.
"When you say hook, line and sinker, this is who I am now, but everybody else around you is tugging for you to do something different, and internally you have that same wrestle, it's hard sometimes to stay focused on that one thing," said Tedashii.
Shock jock, and host of the Power 105.1 radio show The Breakfast Club, Charlemagne The God also took to VladTV to air out his feelings towards Mase's recent decision.
"You can't have one foot in, one foot out when it comes to the church," said Charlemagne. "You can't be Pastor Mase by day and Murda Mase by night. That's not the way life works. "
He criticized Mase for this last return to rap after two previous attempts in 2004 and 2005. After flip-flopping so many times, the radio host seems to have all respect for him as both an artist and religious leader.
"Any aspiration he has in life, I want him to give up on," he said. I don't care if it's preaching or rapping. I just don't care about Mase at all. He's been too much of a contradiction, too much of a hypocrite since [first] retiring [from rap]."
