'Teen Mom' Amber Portwood Slams Justin Bieber's Behavior: 'It's Just for Attention' (VIDEO)

"Teen Mom" star Amber Portwood has kept a relatively low profile since being released early from prison and getting sober. She has said that she wants to help others in similar situations and will appear on "The Maury Show" to give her view on things, including Justin Bieber's behavior.

"We got young people in Hollywood who are acting a lot like these kids," Maury Povich asked Portwood. "What do you think of Justin Bieber?"

"He wants attention," Portwood replied. "The thing about … I remember being a teenager. I wanted attention, I wasn't getting it, so I did crazy stuff. Exactly what you guys are doing. And that's what it is. It's about publicity and it's about money. That's all it is."

Maury's show, entitled "Sex and Drugs are Going to Kill My Teen Girls" is appropriately titled for Portwood's appearance. She made no qualms about her addiction and chose to spend five years in prison instead of receiving out-patient therapy for her addictions and anger problem. Portwood left behind her young daughter, Leah, in order to serve her time in prison but insisted that she was making the best decision for her family.

While behind bars, Portwood was a model inmate and worked hard to get clean and sober as well as work on her anger issues. During "Teen Mom," she was seen hitting former boyfriend, and Leah's father, Gary Shirley. Portwood successfully completed the rehab program and earned her G.E.D.; she was released early for good behavior and now says that she wants to help others in similar situations turn their lives around before it's too late. She is currently working with a program entitled Never Too Late, which helps people with addictions find help and receive the treatment they need.

One person Portwood has reached out to is fellow "Teen Mom" alum, Jenelle Evans, who has had her own addictions to deal with. Portwood tweeted Evans and said that she needs to focus on her first child and remaining clean and sober before having a second. Evans did not take kindly to the advice, but the tiff is now over, and Evans is expecting her second child any day now.
