Tennessee: Driver Survives Fiery Crash, Bible Is Recovered Unscathed
Miracles happen every day, and while some do not believe in divine intervention, the people of Tennessee recently saw the work of God through the survival of a man and his Bible following a fiery crash.
According to WMC Action News, a Jeep crashed near a pole and burst into fires in State Route 385 in Memphis after it went off the highway. Witnesses nearby who stopped when the car caught fire said the driver appeared to be trapped behind the steering wheel. A group of men ran to help the trapped driver and Corey Kilpatrick, one of the bystanders, took a gallon of water and wet the unidentified man, hoping to keep him from the roaring flames.
While the rest of the civilian rescuers tried to desperately find a fire extinguisher, someone brought a jack iron and smashed it onto the window. A K-9 officer arrived to help rescue the man, and fortunately, he was carried to safety.

Popping noises were reportedly heard from the car, as if it was about to blow. Anita Irby caught the fire and rescue on camera and took to Facebook to share the experience. Irby said as other people went close to the scene to help get the trapped driver out of the flamng car, others prayed for the man's rescue.
What's interesting about the incident is one thing emerged unscathed from the burned car: a Bible. Authorities say the Bible sat on the front seat, making witnesses ponder on how it was able to come out unburned on all sides. After the Bible was recovered, witnesses, officers, and rescuers alike started to feel the intense power that the unscathed Bible seemed to give out. The K-9 officer, along with one of the civilians who rescued the driver, then started to pray.
Eugene McNeil, one witness, said, "That is God. If you don't believe it, I don't know what to say."
The driver has been brought to a hospital in a non-critical condition, while people in Memphis continue to ponder on God's grace.
