'The Big Bang Theory' Season 8 Spoilers: Penny and Leonard Argue Over Money Problems
"The Big Bang Theory" is an American sitcom about the story of five characters living in Pasadena, California; Roommates Leonard Hofstadter and Sheldon Cooper, Penny, Howard Wolowitz, and Raj Koothrappali. The series was created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady and airs on the CBS network. It's eighth season premiered on Sept. 22 last month.
Season 8 is already on its sixth episode airing today and is titled "The Expedition Approximation" and is supposedly where Sheldon will discover a lot about himself through an empty bucket. Meanwhile, Penny and Leonard's relationship will be tested by money.
A teaser clip shows Raj enumerating to Sheldon the challenges of going underground where Sheldon appears to be okay with it. It's only later that audiences will discover that Sheldon quickly comes to a breaking point when it is mentioned that they would be using a bucket as a toilet. The other choice which Raj mentions would be to wait 12 hours to use the bathroom, which Sheldon is not okay with.

On the other hand, Penny and Leonard consult Wolowitz and Bernadette regarding problems with money.
The season 8 episode 6 synopsis which was released by CBS.
"Sheldon and Raj test whether they could survive a dark-matter research expedition in a salt mine by simulating the conditions in a steam tunnel. Meanwhile, Leonard and Penny seek advice from Wolowitz and Bernadette after they fight about money," it reads.
Executive producer Steve Molaro reveals that Penny and Leonard is just like any other couple and will argue over money at some point.
"She's really focused on this new career. I don't think they're in a rush. They're happy, they're engaged and, like a lot of people, they may be engaged for a while. But it does raise issue like money, combining money in the future and who has credit card debt and what that all means," he says. "Those kind of issues start to come up, which I find more interesting than the actual wedding planning."
