'The Big Bang Theory' Season 9 News: Actress Mayim Bialik Discusses Sheldon-Amy Intimate Scene
Fans of CBS hit sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" Season 9 have long been rooting for that day that on and off couple Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) would finally share the bed together.
True enough, in "The Opening Night Excitation," Sheldon finally mustered the words to ask Amy to sleep with him on her birthday.
But apparently, not everyone was completely pleased with the act. It turns out that Bialik herself has got some "mixed and complicated feelings" about the scene.

In the latest entry to her Grok Nation blog site, the actress acknowledged the positive reception from the fans but also pointed out those who were quite displeased.
According to her, a lot of the show's followers were "upset" that the surprise was "ruined with so much coverage."
The said attention resulted to her and Parsons getting bombarded with a lot of questions about that particular part of the episode.
"The two main questions were: 'So is he good?' and 'Is she ravished?' (and other such phrases, most of which don't make me comfortable),'" she wrote in her blog.
The 40-year-old real life nerd, meanwhile, took the opportunity to remind everyone that TBBT is not all about "vulgarity" and that making this aspect a recurring thing on the show is far from the possibility.
"Our writers are sensitive people. They didn't write an episode about sex to be raunchy or bawdy," the neuroscientist clarified. She went on to point out that the deed was done by the characters who are "committed" and are in a "loving relationship" between each other.
In related news, executive producer Steve Molaro revealed what's coming next for the two characters.
In an interview with TV Guide, the EP admits that majority of the first half of the current season focused on Amy and Sheldon. The move gave the show "a little breather," but now's the time to set aside the characters "happy in the background" and put focus on the other players of the show.
