'The Blacklist' Season 3 News, Spoilers: The Cabal Plans For Liz's Asassination; Episode 12 Details Revealed
After the lengthy break, NBC's top-rating crime drama TV series "The Blacklist" Season 3 returns to the small screens with its midseason premiere called "The Director." According to the spoilers, fans might find Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone) even more afraid for her life. Meanwhile, details for Episode 12 surfaced this week teasing the possibilities that this might be the episode where the show will introduce Liz's pregnancy.
As shown over at the promo video for the episode, it appears that Peter Kotsiopulos (David Strathairn) and Laurel Hitchin (Christine Lahti) are now more hell-bent to eliminate the ex-FBI agent. The National Security Advisor spoke of a special White House directive indicating Ms. Keen's privilege for a closed trial. The move was intended so as to prevent the Cabal from getting their hands on the proceeding. Laurel, on the other hand, fears for the outcome once the President gets wind of the truth about them.
Peter assures the other person that the Cabal can pull off the assassination plan long before Liz arrives at the courtroom. According to him, if the group can bring down a government in less time, three hours would be more than enough to eradicate the woman.
Meanwhile, Donald Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) ensures the safety of his former colleague. But given what the Cabal can pull off, will he be able to protect Liz from the ominous attack of the enemy?
On related news, a report from Enstarz.com pointed out the network's summary for the 12th episode called "The Vhem." The summary briefly spoke about a vigilante group who has roots dating back to the Middle Ages, "The Holy Vhem." Red (James Spader) once again teams up with Liz and the task force to hold off the group at bay. The synopsis continues to reveal that Liz will receive "shocking news" which will force her to make a decision.
Could this be related to Boone's real life pregnancy and the plan to incorporate it in the show?
Series creator Jon Bokenkamp earlier told Entertainment Weekly that they are still in the process of figuring out how to execute the integration.
"The Blacklist" Season 3 airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. on NBC.
