Even though "The Blacklist" has yet to finish its third season, it was already announced that the series will be renewed for season 4.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the NBC series "The Blacklist" will be seeing another season. The creator of the series, Jon Bokenkamp, revealed some details about their decision to continue the series during a podcast interview.

With that, fans will have to wait and see to find out what will happen to Liz, played by Megan Boone, in the upcoming episodes of season 3, in order to get a better understanding of what season 4 will hold.

The return of season 3 is expected to see Liz trying to escape after being arrested. The upcoming episode is titled "The Director," which is also a two-part episode. The teaser released for the episode shows her inside a glass cage. Diego Klattenhoff's character, Agent Ressler, was also seen speaking to her, telling her that she will receive a fair trial. However, Liz is unsure of whether she will still be alive by then since she is being hunted down by the Cabal.

As reported by Entertainment Weekly, Bokenkamp also shared some details about the upcoming episode. He stated, "... As much as it's a victory for our task force to capture her [Liz], it puts her in almost greater danger. It's a race against the clock for Red (James Spader) to enact whatever his plan is that he's been working on for the last eight episodes. It's time for things to fall together, and that is going to be fun."

"The Blacklist" season 3 will return on Jan. 7, 2016.
