'The Flash' Season 2 Cast News: Griffin Grey Makes Debut Appearance; Season 1 Enemy Back?
The world of The CW's hit superhero drama TV series "The Flash" Season 2 is about to get even bigger with the coming of this DC Comics character. Meanwhile, behind-the-scene images reveal a Season 1 enemy returning to Central City.
According to TVLine's Michael Ausiello, character Griffin Grey will make his debut appearance in an upcoming April episode.
Casting for the role is reportedly ongoing. However, these details about the character could bring some hints as to what fans can expect about the newcomer.
According to Design & Trend, Grey is a friend and roommate of Bart Allen, the hero known as Impulse, the second Kid Flash and the fourth to carry the mantle of The Flash in New Earth. The duo worked together at Keystone Motors.
An accident at their workplace occurred which sent Griffin to the hospital. He discovered that his injuries healed surprisingly fast. The character later on exhibits some strange powers which includes emanating strange green lighting-like energy.
With his newfound powers, Griffin helped Keystone City become a better place to live in. His abilities, however, cost him his health. When his friend Bart came into the scene, the whole town ditched their former savior and worshipped the new guy. Bitter and humiliated, Griffin strives to gain back his place in the community.
Meanwhile, a report from YVR Shoots revealed what could be an interesting development in Season 2.
The media outlet shared a handful of photos showing series star Grant Gustin and guest actor Andy Mientus filming a scene near Vancouver's Olympic Cauldron for an upcoming episode.
In one of the images, Barry is standing in front of Mientus' Season 1 alter-ego, Hartley Rathaway, who is also known as the Pied Piper.
For those who missed it, Hartley returned to Central City in "The Sound and The Fury" to seek vengeance on Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh). He was brought down by Flash and was imprisoned in one of the cells at STAR Labs.
With the intention of locating a friend, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) freed the meta-human and the Pied Piper has since been at large. What could be his goal in returning, this time around?
The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on The CW.
