With that, fans can expect that the mother and daughter's relationship will progress as the season continues. It is suspected that the reason for their sudden closeness could be the fact that Francine's health is in the line. It was previously revealed that Francine is suffering from MacGregor syndrome, which is a fictional disease that has affected other characters of the DC Universe.

Patton recently had an interview with IGN where she explained some details about their relationship. She said, "Emotionally Iris is surprised by how difficult it is to see her mother so sick. She had resolved in her mind that she never wanted to really see Francine ever again. [But] as she realizes how sick Francine is, it comes as quite a surprise to Iris how difficult it is to see her mother dying."

With that, fans can expect that the upcoming episode of "The Flash" season 2 will be filled with emotions and drama. Episode 11 of "The Flash" season 2 airs this Jan. 26.
