'The Flash' Spoilers: New Promo Reveals Incredible Speed (VIDEO)

"The Flash" does not premiere until the fall, but The CW offered fans another sneak peek at the new television series online this week in light of San Diego's Comic Con.

The DC Comics-inspired series is set to premiere on Oct. 7, but a humorous promotional video released by Buzzfeed revealed another look at The Flash character. First, an idle police officer ignores a car speeding at 68 MPH, according to his radar. Then, the cop ignores another speeding care going 84, but when a loud shotgun heralds a racing figure going 780 MPH, the officer's windows explode. The Flash's incredible speed also takes down the speed limit sign and tears the billboard beside the road. The entire 47-second clip is set to Wolfmother's song "Dimension."

"The Flash" is a spin-off of "Arrow" and stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, a police scientist who acquired supernatural speed after being struck by lightning. An extended trailer released for "The Flash" revealed the moment Barry realized his power while speeding down airport runways.

"Barry is exhibiting things that are not possible, and yet are happening," actor Tom Cavanagh narrates as S.T.A.R. Labs boss Harrison Wells during the clip. "Our team, at least initially, seems like we're just trying to examine and determine why he can do the things that he can do. But there's much more to it than that."

The cast includes Gustin, Cavanagh, and Candice Patton in the role of Iris West- Barry's quick-witted best friend. Iris is also the daughter of Barry's father figure, CCPD Detective West, portrayed by "Law & Order" star Jesse L. Martin. Moreover, Chad Rook portrays the villainous Weather Wizard, while The CW also hired the original "The Flash" actor John Wesley Shipp who played the superhero in 1990's. Shipp will portray Henry Allen, Barry's father.

"The Flash" premieres Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
