'The Good Wife' Season 5 Spoilers: Alicia to Find Love Again?
"The Good Wife" returns to CBS this Sunday with a brand new episode entitled "Tying the Knot" with fans wondering what is next for Alicia Florrick.
Julianna Marguiles stars as Alicia, a litigator who just lost her boyfriend Will in a shocking twist this season. However, CBS just announced that the lead character will be introduced to a new love interest in Daniel Irwin, to be portrayed by "Lost" star Nestor Carbonell, according to TV Guide.
According to spoilers for the May 4 episode, Alicia has a chance encounter with Irwin, a charming entrepreneur, during jury duty. Their chemistry leaves Alicia wondering about her options outside of her marriage- she told her husband that they would stay together for their careers, but that he was free to date. Also during the forthcoming episode, Alicia will seek advice from her mother, Veronica, portrayed by Stockard Channing, who is an expert in dating.

As for the rest of season five, Marguiles previously revealed that many, many changes were in store for her character.
"I mean, there are moments where people are going to hate my character and think she's just awful and then literally the next scene, you're going to understand why she did what she did," the actress explained to The Huffington Post.
"The Good Wife" airs on CBS Sundays at 9 p.m. EST. The synopsis for this week's episode, "Tying the Knot," is as follows: "Alicia becomes a reluctant witness when a body is discovered in Colin Sweeney's home while she is there. Meanwhile, an unfortunate picture of Zach threatens to become a public relations nightmare for Peter."
Josh Charles returns to the show as episodic director, while Dylan Baker returns at Colin Sweeney and Laura Benanti guest stars as his fiancee, Renata Ellard.
