'The Grimm' Season 5 Spoilers, Plot News: New Character Joins, Nick and Adalind Give Relationship a Chance?

American police procedural fantasy television drama series "The Grimm" is set to return to the small screen soon. But before it could even air its season 5 episode 7, spoilers about what will happen next have surfaced across the web already and it seems like some sort of love clash is going to happen.

According to Christian Today, there's a possibility that Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) will be involved in a love triangle as a new character named Eve shows up in the series. Apparently, Eve looks exactly like Nick's dead ex-girlfriend, Juliette Silverton, who is played by actress Bitsie Tulloch.

A chance of love between Nick and Eve in the future would have been easily possible. But now that Adalind has fallen for Nick, it might be not that easy anymore. Things are bound to get complicated as spoilers revealed that one scene in the midseason premiere will show Adalind and Nick kissing. But will Eve's appearance stir up unresolved emotions for Nick?

During an interview with TV Line, "Grimm" co-creator David Greenwalt spoke about Adalind and Nick's relationship. "[The Nick-Adalind relationship] is going to have a life of its own without the Juliette/Eve [aspect], because they have a kid," Greenwalt said.

It's not going to be easy for Nick to bring up old feelings from Eve though. As mentioned in the source, the new character is a mysterious woman who has landed a position in Hadrian's Wall, a secret organization fighting against the Wesen Uprising. The greatest mystery is that she holds all of Juliette's memories but none of the emotional attachments. She's also described to be "bad-ass."

Greenwalt also said that Eve is not a brainwashed Juliette because the latter is already dead. Instead, she went through a very tough training "where they broke her down to nothing." She is now considered as a Hexenbiest weapon for Hadrian's Wall. More of Eve's backstory and how she got herself into the secret government organization will be revealed along the way.

"Grimm" season 5 episode 7 will return to NBC on Jan. 22.
