'The Huntsman Winter's War' News: Charlize Theron in New Trailer

While a couple of other trailers have come out on the upcoming film "The Huntsman: Winter's War," trailer number three shows an angry-looking Charlize Theron all fitted up as Queen Ravenna, evidently restored to her evil self after her brush with Eric the Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) and Snow White. Rightly so, after all, who would not be furious when one is told by one's Magic Mirror there is someone more fair than you? Or it could be because her sister Freya (Emily Blunt) and the latter's huntsmen Eric and Sara (played by Jessica Chastain) are on her case for her act of betrayal she was told would unleash her sister Freya's power.

The latest trailer shows a flashback to a time before Snow when the Magic Mirror tells of Freya's other baby who had been the first object of Ravenna's jealousy. So fans of the upcoming prequel may be surprised to find out Snow was not the Freya's first daughter. And despite the Mirror's telling her that harming the baby would release Freya's full fury, the Evil Queen sought to harm the baby. And so the prediction came true about Freya's use of her power.

Ravenna's dastardly act leads Freya to isolate herself and her people in a wintry world far north, locking herself out and freezing her heart to love. She started training an army of hardened warriors from a young age to be fierce and leaning toward a life of fighting, valuing it more than love. These warriors were an elite force, her protectors, called Huntsmen. The one rule they had to keep was to not fall in love with a fellow huntsman.

And yet, despite being forbidden, Eric and Sara cannot help themselves from falling in love and go against Freya's rule. And so comes another complication to the film's plot.

And yet the two have to stand together, being protectors, when a war for domination between Freya and Ravenna erupts. The huntsmen must stand strong or else Ravenna's evil will prevail for all eternity.

"The Huntsman: Winter's War" will be in theaters in April 2016.
