'The Last Of Us Part 2' Outbreak Day Merchandise Revealed
While fans eagerly await the release of "The Last Of Us Part 2," game developer Naughty Dog has some special Outbreak Day merchandise to share.
For those unfamiliar with the game, Sept. 26 is Outbreak Day. The day that the Cordyceps Brain Infection hit critical mass and could no longer be contained. While the day has a grim significance in the game, in the real world, it is an opportunity for the developers to release some new content and goodies for fans to enjoy.
Naughty Dog revealed three items in a post on the company's blog. These include a poster featuring art from Kevin Tong who also made last year's Outbreak Day poster, a T-shirt, and a PS4 theme.
The poster measures 18"x24" and is available for a limited time on MondoTees. "The Last Of Us Part 2" PlayStation 4 dynamic theme features the same art from the game's reveal trailer and comes with various audio and animated effects and is currently available on the PlayStation Store. The final item, the T-Shirt, is available on the PlayStation Gear Store.
In addition to the items from Naughty Dog, the PlayStation Store will also be ho, ding a sale on digital content for "The Last of Us" such as The PS4 Remastered Edition which has been discounted to $15 US. The sale lasts all week which gives players plenty of time to get their favorite in-game content.
Despite making a number of announcements, however, no details have been revealed regarding the progress of the game which has been awarded Most Anticipated Game of the Year by the PlayStation blog. There are many who are curious with regards to the game's development especially with the first game's co-director Bruce Straley's recent departure from the studio.
"The Last Of Us Part 2" is set to arrive on the PS4 however, no release date has been announced by either Naughty Dog or Sony as of press time.
